A comfortable bracelet starts with your wrist measurement. Bracelet length and wrist circumference are different measurements: the clasp, thickness and shape all affect the fit. Check the dimensions listed for the specific size you select.
How to measure your wrist
- Wrap a flexible tape around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where you normally wear a bracelet. Keep it snug without pressing into your skin.
- If you do not have a tape, use a strip of paper or non-stretch string. Mark where the ends meet, lay it flat and measure it with a ruler.
- Measure twice and record your wrist circumference in centimetres. For a flexible chain, adding about 0.5–0.8 in (1.5–2 cm) is a useful starting point for a comfortable fit.
Wrist circumference and flexible bracelet length
The table is a general guide for flexible chain and cord bracelets, not a guarantee of fit. Thick links, large beads and multiple strands can require extra room. Choose from the actual lengths offered on the product page.
| Wrist circumference | Suggested bracelet length |
|---|---|
| 5.9 in (15 cm) | 6.5–6.7 in (16.5–17 cm) |
| 6.3 in (16 cm) | 6.9–7.1 in (17.5–18 cm) |
| 6.7 in (17 cm) | 7.3–7.5 in (18.5–19 cm) |
| 7.1 in (18 cm) | 7.7–7.9 in (19.5–20 cm) |
| 7.5 in (19 cm) | 8.1–8.3 in (20.5–21 cm) |
| 7.9 in (20 cm) | 8.5–8.7 in (21.5–22 cm) |
| 8.3 in (21 cm) | 8.9–9.1 in (22.5–23 cm) |
| 8.7 in (22 cm) | 9.3–9.4 in (23.5–24 cm) |
Choosing an open cuff
A cuff enters from the narrow side of your wrist. Check any stated inner diameter, opening and fit information; the outside span is not the inside diameter. “Adjustable open cuff” does not mean every wrist size will fit. Adjust gently only when the product is described as adjustable, and avoid repeated bending or forcing the opening. For a wide or rigid cuff, contact us with your wrist measurement before ordering if the fit is unclear.
Choosing a closed or hinged bangle
A closed bangle must pass over your hand. Bring your thumb toward your little finger, measure around the widest part of your hand, and compare it with the bangle’s stated inside circumference. A hinged bangle opens, so wrist fit matters more than passing over the hand. For a circular bangle only, inside circumference is approximately inside diameter multiplied by 3.14. Oval bangles need both inside dimensions; a single width is not a reliable fit conversion.
Adjustable bracelets and between-size choices
An extender range describes the bracelet’s length, not the wearer’s wrist size. Allow space for comfortable movement without letting the bracelet slide off. If you are between two available sizes, consider the larger one for a looser fit, while checking the clasp and weight.
